Oro Express Mesa Pawn & Gold accepts a wide variety of qualifying items as collateral for pawn loans. The amount we can lend depends on the individual item, its condition, current demand, and overall resale value.
Some customers bring in jewelry or precious metals, while others use electronics, tools, watches, musical instruments, or other valuable items they already own. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, bring it in and our team can take a look.
Jewelry
Jewelry is one of the most common types of collateral we work with.
We evaluate many different pieces, including gold jewelry, diamond jewelry, rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, estate jewelry, antique jewelry, and other qualifying items.
Each piece is evaluated individually based on factors such as precious-metal content, gemstones, condition, craftsmanship, brand, and current market demand.
Gold and Silver
Gold and silver can often be used as collateral for a pawn loan.
We work with gold jewelry, chains, coins, bullion, silver jewelry, silver coins, and other qualifying precious-metal items. Depending on the item, our evaluation may consider purity, weight, current precious-metal prices, condition, and whether the piece has value beyond its metal content.
Diamonds
Diamonds and diamond jewelry may also qualify for pawn loans.
We evaluate the complete piece, including the diamond, setting, precious-metal content, condition, and current resale market. Diamond characteristics such as size, quality, and overall desirability may all affect the loan amount available.
Watches
Qualifying watches may be accepted as collateral depending on the brand, model, condition, age, and current demand.
We work with a range of watches, although marketability can vary significantly from one piece to another. Original boxes, paperwork, extra links, and other accessories may be helpful when available.
Electronics
Electronics can make good collateral when they are current, fully functional, and have established resale demand.
Depending on the item, we may consider:

- Gaming systems
- Select cell phones
- Other qualifying consumer electronics
Age, condition, specifications, accessories, and current demand all affect value.
Tools and Equipment
We also make pawn loans on many types of professional and consumer tools.
Items may include power tools, hand tools, air tools, paint sprayers, and other equipment with established resale value.
Brand, condition, completeness, and whether the item can be tested all play a role in the evaluation.
If possible, bring batteries, chargers, cases, and accessories with the tool.
Musical Instruments
Qualifying musical instruments may also be used as collateral.
We may consider guitars, amplifiers, keyboards, and other instruments depending on brand, condition, age, and market demand.
Cases and related accessories can be helpful when available.
Gaming Systems
Current gaming consoles and related equipment may qualify for pawn loans depending on model, condition, and demand.
Systems should be functional, and bringing controllers, power cords, and other necessary accessories can make the evaluation easier.
Designer Handbags and Accessories
Select designer handbags and accessories may qualify as collateral when they have sufficient resale value and can be authenticated.
Brand, model, condition, authenticity, and current demand all matter.
Original packaging, receipts, dust bags, and authenticity materials may be helpful when available, but they are not always required.

How We Decide What We Can Pawn
We do not use one formula for every category.
A gold chain is evaluated differently from a laptop, a watch is evaluated differently from a power tool, and a diamond ring requires a different approach than a gaming console.
Depending on the item, we may consider:

- Brand or manufacturer
- Age
Current resale demand- Completeness and accessories
- Precious-metal content
- Gemstones
- Authenticity
- Current market value
Our goal is to understand exactly what you have and determine whether it is something we can confidently accept as collateral.
What to Bring
To complete a pawn transaction, you must be at least 18 years old and present a valid driver’s license or other acceptable government-issued photo identification.
You should also bring any accessories needed to test the item. Chargers, batteries, controllers, cases, paperwork, original packaging, or other supporting items may make the evaluation easier.
