Your Engagement Ring Has a Story
Every engagement ring has a story.
For some, it’s the ring from a proposal they’ll never forget. For others, it’s been worn every day for years as a reminder of a lifelong commitment. Some rings have been passed from one generation to the next, carrying memories that simply can’t be replaced.

Whatever your story may be, we understand your engagement ring represents much more than its financial value.
When customers bring an engagement ring into our store, we know they’re often trusting us with one of the most meaningful pieces of jewelry they own. That’s a responsibility we take seriously.
Our goal is to provide a thoughtful evaluation, explain your options clearly, and make the process as comfortable as possible from beginning to end.
A Thoughtful Evaluation Begins With Listening
Every engagement ring is unique, and so is every customer’s situation.
Before discussing loan amounts, we take the time to carefully examine your ring and answer any questions you may have. We want you to understand how we arrived at our evaluation and feel comfortable with every step of the process.
When evaluating an engagement ring, we may consider:
- The quality of the center diamond
- Additional diamonds or accent stones
- Gold or platinum content
- Overall craftsmanship
- Ring design and setting
- Designer or manufacturer
- Overall condition
- Current market demand
Rather than focusing on a single characteristic, we evaluate the complete ring.
If you’d like to better understand how diamonds are evaluated, including the Four Cs, natural versus lab-grown diamonds, and the factors that influence value, visit our Diamond Loans Mesa guide.
Professional Equipment, Personal Service
Providing a fair evaluation starts with accurate information.
Depending on your ring, we may use professional equipment including:
- Presidium gemstone testing equipment
- Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier
- Traditional acid testing when appropriate
- Precision digital scales
- Hallmark and maker’s mark inspection
These tools help us identify precious metals and gemstones with confidence, but they don’t replace experience.
Just as important as the equipment is taking the time to explain what we’re seeing, answer your questions, and make sure you understand how your ring is being evaluated.
We believe transparency builds trust, and trust is something every customer deserves.
If You’re Thinking About Pawning Your Engagement Ring
It’s completely normal to have questions before making a decision.
Many customers visit us simply to understand their options. Some decide a pawn loan is the right solution, while others choose to wait. Either way, we’re happy to explain the process without any pressure or obligation.
If you decide to move forward, all you’ll need is:
- Your engagement ring
- A valid government-issued photo ID
If you still have them, you may also bring:
- The original ring box
- GIA grading reports
- Purchase receipts
- Warranty information
- Diamond certificates
These documents can be helpful but are never required for us to evaluate your ring.
Knowing Your Ring Is Protected
One of the biggest concerns we hear is simple:
“What happens to my ring after I leave?”
We understand why people ask.
If you choose to move forward with a pawn loan, your engagement ring is carefully documented and securely stored while your loan is active.
Pawn loans in Arizona follow a 90-day loan schedule with monthly interest payments. You’re always welcome to pay your loan off early, and once the loan has been repaid according to your loan agreement, your ring is returned to you.
If you’d like to better understand how pawn loans work, our Pawn Loans Mesa guide explains the process in greater detail.
Questions We Often Hear
I’m Nervous About Pawning My Engagement Ring. Is That Normal?
Absolutely.
Many first-time customers tell us they never imagined they’d need to borrow against something so meaningful. We understand that this can be an emotional decision, and our goal is to make the experience as comfortable and transparent as possible.
We’ll answer your questions, explain your options, and never pressure you to move forward.
Will My Ring Be Safe?
Yes.
Your ring is carefully documented and securely stored throughout the loan period. Protecting your property is one of the most important responsibilities we have, and we treat every customer’s jewelry with the same level of care and respect.
What If My Ring Was Passed Down Through My Family?
Family heirlooms are among the most meaningful pieces of jewelry we evaluate.
Whether your ring has been in your family for generations or was recently inherited, we’ll carefully evaluate it and explain your options. You may also find our Estate Jewelry Loans Mesa page helpful if your ring is part of an inherited jewelry collection.
Do I Need the Original Paperwork?
No.
If you have a GIA grading report, purchase receipt, or original box, we encourage you to bring them. However, they’re not required to receive a pawn loan.
Can I Pay My Loan Off Early?
Yes.
You’re welcome to repay your pawn loan at any time. If you have questions about your payoff amount, we’ll gladly explain the terms that apply to your individual loan.
